this ring features turquoise from the new lander mine in nevada. the stone is almost entirely encased in silver, from the setting itself to the dome around it. there’s so much silver, it’s awesome! the inside has been oxidized black to make the stone inside pop. the design is what’s called a shadowbox. for me, the design, specifically the dome, represents the void of space and the stone setting is literally a rock within that space.. not unlike our own planet. gaea makes a statement without being an overwhelming piece of jewelry.
