this opal has such a beautiful flash of the rainbow within it. it is a solid piece of opal, too. unfortunately, I don’t know where it was mined - I got the opal from a wire wrapping artist that was getting rid of all their equipment and stones and didn’t remember its origin.

the stone is set with fine and sterling silver with a long bail. the chain is an elongated box chain that I’ve really fallen for. the handmade clasp adds a little extra elegance to the piece.
